I’ve always loved cinnamon toast, I mean who doesn’t? Slather some butter on a slice of toast and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar for quick snack that satisfies your sweet tooth. But there’s cinnamon toast and then there’s CINNAMON TOAST. This right here is a game changer. I mean, this really is the only way to eat cinnamon toast and once you try it you’ll find it almost impossible to go back. The way the cinnamon topping bakes into a crunchy carmelized crust on top of the soft warm bread is enough to make you go mmmmmmm…….
8 slices Bread (white or wheat)
½ C butter, softened
½ cup sugar
1½ teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a small bowl, mix together softened butter, sugar, cinnamon and vanilla until smooth and combined. Spread evenlyon slices of bread, completely covering the surface all the way to the edges. Place toast on a cookie sheet and bake for 8 minutes. Turn on the broiler and broil about 2 minutes until golden brown and bubbling (don’t over cook or it will harden). Remove from oven and cut slices into halves diagonally then serve.
