Skillet Spaghetti

I’m just going to break this thing down for you.

1. The noodles cook right in the sauce to amp up the flavor.

2. It’s a one pot meal, meaning only one pot to wash.

3. It’s spaghetti. Need I say more.

And let’s talk about the flavor. The chili powder gives it just a little kick to make it stand out in a crowd of bland spaghetti. This dish ticks all the boxes: Taste-check. Easy to make- check. Plates licked clean-check.

In a large skillet, cook ground beef until no longer pink, adding onion halfway through. Drain grease then add garlic and sauté a few minutes longer. Add water, juice, tomato paste and seasonings and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, break spaghetti noodles in half then add to the skillet, making sure the noodles are completely covered by the sauce.  Cover and simmer on low heat for 30 minutes, or until spaghetti is cooked through, stirring often so the noodles don’t get stuck together.

Top it off with a generous handful of parmesan. That’s not optional, it’s a must. But that goes without saying.

Then enjoy every last bite.
